Miranda “Mindy” D. Clifton has over 20 years of experience litigating personal injury matters for defendants.  Mindy has worked 9 years as a Trial Attorney for Nationwide Insurance and over 12 years for private firms.  Mindy’s practice focuses on the defense of both personal and commercial claims arising from motor vehicle accidents, product liability and premises liability.  She is a skilled and experienced trial attorney with an outstanding defense verdict record. Mindy has been certified by the Delaware Superior Court as a mediator and serves as both mediator and arbitrator in resolving disputes for other Delaware attorneys.

She utilizes her resolution skills for her clients to negotiate fair settlements in many of her cases. Mindy is also well-respected among her peers.  She was elected President of the Delaware State Bar Association in 2016-2017.  Prior to serving as President, she served on the Delaware State Bar Association Executive Committee for 9 years holding offices such as Vice President At Large, Vice President- New Castle County, Treasurer, Assistance Treasurer, Secretary and Assistance Secretary.  She also was Chair of the Women and the Law Section of the Delaware State Bar Association for a 2-year term. Mindy is also a member of the Kent County Bar Association and Terry-Carey Inn of Court. Mindy graduated from Widener University School of Law in 2000 with her Juris Doctor (JD) degree and obtained her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Wilmington University in 2015.  She continues to serve as an adjunct professor at Wilmington University in their Graduate Business department.
